Indoor Features
In recent years there has been an enormous growth in the popularity of table-top fountains and other indoor water features. From the conventional bubbling fountain in the middle of the dining-room table at home, to the wall spillways and waterfalls of the office or bar. There are now also elaborate fountain tables and other aquatic furnishings for the adventurous. Whether manufactured or home-made, these features are now exceptionally popular and the following review reflects their rich diversity.

Conventional Table-top Fountains
Conventional table-top fountains operate from a mini-submersible pump and usually thrust up a small jet through a layer of pebbles, or a stone that has been drilled specially to accommodate the pump outlet. Others accommodate a rotating ball or tiny cascade.

Indoor Waterfalls and Spillways
Although a waterfall indoors may seem an outrageous proposition, there are now available many fine wall and free-standing waterfall features, which contrary to popular belief are not at all a problem as regards water splash or spillage. There are also small cascades which can be accommodated in a basin rather like a table top fountain.

Fountain Furniture and Themed Fountains
Apart from conventional table top fountains there are fountain tables where the feature is enclosed beneath, or a ball rotates on the top. There are also themed indoor water features, especially those associated with the Orient, particularly with the culture of Zen.
